The protest was a success with reports that 5,000 protesters gathered to voice their opposition to Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad and his policies.
In preparation for the rally, ARZA prepared materials to assist congregants and temple leaders: useful links to essays and information, a prayer insert for this Shabbat Ki Tavo, a poster announcing a rally for those in the New York area, and a formal statement from Rabbi Andrew Davids, Executive Director of ARZA.

Dotan was born in Tel Aviv and lived in Kfar-Sabba; Daytona Beach, Florida; Haifa; and the lovely town of Zichron Ya'akov. Dotan enjoys quality music (but can't define it), good cinema (which includes "Wayne's World" in that list) and a fine meal (which sometimes contradicts the fact that he's a vegetarian...).

Carole Gould, a first year student at HUC-JIR in Jerusalem, has written a weekly column in the NYTimes Business section for 20 years. Taking a break from her studies, she reflects on life in Jerusalem:
ARZA founding Executive Director and current Board member, Rabbi Ira Youdovin, encourages open dialogue about Israel and worries that many in the Zionist and organized Jewish community are moving towards suppression of criticism-a dangerous trend. This article appeared on February 23, 2007 in the Jewish Daily Forward.
ARZA Board Member Jay Greenfield toured many of the Reform communities affected by the war, and comes away realizing just how important Reform Judaism is to Israel and the essential role that we play in providing financial and spiritual support to one another.
